All the rage: Models clad in Topshop's Autumn Winter 2010 collection.
SHOPPERS were seen surrounding the V-shape runway in the new wing of Gurney Plaza, Penang, for a good reason — to catch the Autumn Winter 2010 collection of fashion brands Topshop, Topman and Dorothy Perkins.
The three brands held their first ever fashion parade in Penang. The response to the one-hour parade was overwhelming with fashion fans snapping away pictures and looking attentively at the eye-catching clothes.

Go traditional, or trendy

With Hari Raya around the corner, a celebrity interior designer shares tips on giving your living space a fresh look.
UNLIKE the fashion world, the paint industry picks only one key colour for an entire year, and this shade will be marketed during its year of reign.
How do the experts arrive at the colour of the year?
Every year a group of interior designers, colourists, economists, fashion designers and architects will get together to anoint a key colour.
Use olive green for your feature wall and dark brown for beams, Leong suggests.
As 2010 is deemed to be airy and optimistic, sky blue, a liberating and soothing hue,has been chosen as the colour of the year for interior and exterior spaces by Colour Futures, an ongoing worldwide colour trend research, forecasting and development effort by one of the world’s leading paints and coatings manufacturer, AkzoNobel and ICI Dulux Paints.

Aidilfitri 2010: Offline Shopping vs Online Shopping

It seems like Ramadhan is sneaking up on us. It is right around the corner... two days away. When entering Ramadhan, a good Muslim definitely will be busy in performing religious activity such as fasting, reciting quran and other good deeds. Towards the end of Ramadhan, they will do some preparation to celebrate the coming Syawal or so called Aidilfitri. It is too early to talk about shopping but, in a modern living today, people got two choices for shopping as part of preparing the Syawal celebration. The choices are: Offline Shopping vs Online shopping.

Offline Shopping
Offline Shopping is a traditional way of shopping by the examining of goods or services from retailers with the intent to purchase at that time. Shopping is an activity of selection and/orpurchase. In some contexts it is considered a leisure activity as well as an economic one. In Malaysia, especially in Kuala Lumpur, people tend to go to bigger and famous shopping mall such SOGO, JUSCO, Kamdar, GIANT, Pertama Kompleks, Semua House etc. But beware, the more the crowd... the more risky you face such as pick-pocket and snatch atau anak hilang dipasaraya.

Keadaan traffic dan tempat parking sering menjadi rungutan kepada warga KL. Ketika musim perayaan, parking fee in front of Campbel Plaza increase to RM 10 per hour... Crazy !!! Tuh belum masuk duit utk bayar penjaga parking tak berlesen. Dalam keadaan cuaca tak menentu, ketika bulan ramadhan, amat memenatkan bershopping in traditional way. Some people consider it as fun. Tak lengkap rasanyer bershopping kalau tak bersesak-sesak.. kan ? alah bisa tegal biasa.

Online Shopping.
Online shopping is the process whereby consumers directly buy goods or services from a seller in real-time, without an intermediary service, over the Internet. If an intermediary service is present the process is called electronic commerce. An online shop, eshop, e-store, internet shop, webshop, webstore, online store, or virtual store evokes the physical analogy of buying products or services at a bricks-and-mortar retailer or in a shopping mall. The main idea of online shopping is not in having a good looking website that could be listed in a lot of search engines and it is not about the art behind the site. It also is not only just about disseminating information, because it is all about building relationships and making money.

A lot advantages by performing online shopping such as connivence, Online stores are usually available 24 hours a day, and many consumers have Internet access both at work and at home. Other establishments such as internet cafes and schools provide access as well. A visit to a conventional retail store requires travel and must take place during business hours. One advantage of shopping online is being able to quickly seek out deals for items or services with many different vendors (though some local search engines do exist to help consumers locate products for sale in nearby stores). Search engines, online price comparison services and discovery shopping engines can be used to look up sellers of a particular product or service. Given the lack of ability to inspect merchandise before purchase, consumers are at higher risk of fraud on the part of the merchant than in a physical store.

Bershoppinglah di hujung jari anda melalui online shopping tanpa perlu risau mencari tempat parking, kesesakan jalan raya, kesesakan manusia, wabak H1N1, etc.

The choice is on your hand. Selamat menjalani ibadah puasa dan juga selamat menyambut Syawal kepada semua umat Islam di Malaysia.
